This homeowner did not have a very comfortable home. She constantly had to use blankets in the winter when she wanted to relax. We explained to her that her home could be much more comfortable than that. We found that she had a very leaky home that was not properly air sealed or even insulated. We proposed many solutions to her problem and part of the project that she decided to go ahead with was insulating her small attic. The attic was a major source to a lot of her problems. We proposed to insulate the attic from the outside because it was so small and had limited access from the inside of the home. We cut a small access panel out from underneath the siding, open blowed TruSoft Insulation throughout the entire attic and then sealed the access panel and reattached the siding. The customer was very happy with the results of our work and is already much more comfortable and she can't wait to see how this summer goes.
The attic of this home in Sayre, PA was short on insulation.
After air sealing, we did an open blow of 15 inches of cellulose insulation. The attic is now well insulated which will make the rooms below more comfortable and energy efficient.
This Spencer, NY homeowner was having some moisture issues in their crawl space, which in turn could make the winter and summer months unbearable inside the home due to the excess moisture. Crawl space encapsulation was the answer for this homeowner. Once the poly was laid down, Closed Cell Spray foam was used on all sides to seal the poly to the walls to ensure it cannot be dragged down by walking upon it.
This home in Spencer, NY was quite uncomfortable for the homeowners and their family. Their home was lacking insulation in the basement, which was causing the home to be colder than it needed to be during the winter, and warmer than it should be in the summer months. This family was income-qualified through New York State Energy programs to have free work done to their home in order to make the home more energy-efficient and reduce heating and cooling costs!
We sprayed the rim joists in the basement with 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam to ensure gaps were sealed so air could not escape out the basement or allow cold/hot air leak in during the respective times of year. 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam was also applied to the walls of the foundation, creating a good layer of insulation for this home. Since the basement walls would remain exposed, we also coated the spray foam with our thermal barrier, which is fire proof for added piece of mind in the home. These homeowners were more at ease in a newly comfortable home and were also very pleased to see their energy bills lowered due to proper insulation.
This gentleman from Spencer, NY had a pole barn he wanted to have spray foamed. It was a large project, as this pole barn measured 160 x 66. Our crew spent a full week spray foaming this pole barn for this customer with our closed-cell spray foam. At the end of the week-long project, there was a beautifully spray foamed large pole barn ready for this owner's use.
