This homeowner in Afton, NY was experiencing very cold floors in the winter, and her energy usage was quite a bit higher than it should be. The fiberglass beneath the home wasn't doing enough to keep the floors warm during the cold winter months.
We proposed to fix this issue for her by spraying the underside of the mobile home with 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam. This blocks the cold air from beneath the home from being able to travel through the floors like it had previously, which left our homeowner feeling like she'd freeze to the floorboards. By spraying the belly of the home with spray foam, this will also help to lower the homeowner's fuel costs - so she's warmer in the winter and the home is cheaper to heat!
These homeowners were putting a new addition to their home so they could reside there on a permanent basis. They chose to spray foam the floor of the original cottage, as well as the addition.
We ended up spray 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the underside of the cottage and the addition, creating a barrier for air to escape inside the home.
