This Conklin, NY homeowner had no insulation in the second floor of her Cape Cod home. We proposed to properly insulate this attic space for the homeowner to ensure comfortability year round in the home, as well as lesser fuel and energy costs.

We air sealed and insulated the roof deck in one step - by using our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the roof deck of the home. We sprayed 4 inches of spray foam to the roof deck of the home. 

Among other things, this Conklin, NY home had an uninsulated rim joist.

As part of a larger project, 2 inches of closed cell foam was applied to the rim joist.  Along with other measures, this helped to better insulate the basement which makes the first floor more comfortable.

Fiberglass batts were removed and, after air sealing, 12 inches of cellulose insulation was blown in over the existing loose fiberglass.  The result is a better insulated attic and a more comfortable home.
