Johnson City, NY - Dense Pack Cellulose

This homeowner in Johnson City, NY wanted to improve their insulation in the attic, so they gave us a call to do an energy assessment. After seeing that they were losing a lot of heat throughout the home, they decided to do something about it.

We proposed to spray foam the roof deck of the attic, sealing gaps and cracks where air was escaping and to dense pack the walls of the home with cellulose insulation. After carefully removing the siding, we drilled holes just slightly larger than our hoses to ensure room to work with. Once each drilled cavity was filled with cellulose, they were sealed with wooden plugs and the siding was replaced just as carefully as it was removed.
