Insulation Services Photo Album: Spray Foam To Roof Deck in Endicott, NY
This project in Endicott, NY was different from the usual. The attic is accessed by a pull down staircase in the middle of the home. In the attic, home comfort Advisor DJ, found a few inches of fiberglass insulation but still not sufficient for the home. In addition, Most of the second floor was made up of staple up ceiling tile which prevents us from insulating the attic using TruSoft cellulose insulation. The next solution to insulating this space is closed cell spray foam. DJ proposed applying 4 inches to the roof deck and 2 inches to the gable ends. This was then installed by Foreman Frank and co foreman Kevin. This amount of closed cell spray foam reaches the maximum R-value required for comfort and savings.
