This homeowner recently he discovered significant mold growth in the attic along with extremely high energy bills. Concerned about both the air quality and energy efficiency of the home, Dustin contacted Foam It Insulation to schedule a home comfort evaluation and identify the source of the issues.    Foam It installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. With its powerful 300 CFM blower, the Sedona circulates dry air throughout the attic, helping prevent future mold growth for good. The Foam It team removed the loose fiberglass insulation using a high-powered Cool Machines Vacuum system. They then carefully cut and chiseled away the open-cell spray foam insulation. Once the attic was cleared, Foam It crawled the attic and thoroughly sealed all top plates and penetrations using one-part spray foam insulation ensuring proper air sealing. To complete the project, they applied 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam across the entire roof deck and gable walls.
