This Binghamton, NY homeowner was referred to us by Artic Bear after they had installed a new furnace. There wasn't a lot of insulation in this home, so we came out to do a Free Home Comfort Evaluation so we could inform the homeowner of what his home was lacking, as well as offer solutions on how to get adequate insulation in the home which would in turn save the homeowner on fuel and energy costs.
We dense packed the slopes with Cellulose insulation, then sprayed 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the side attics and gable end walls.
This Cape Cod home in Binghamton, NY needed our help. There was some fiberglass in the side attic, but much of it had fallen down over time.
We proposed to do a lot of work to this home - utilizing our Closed Cell Spray Foam in the side attics, doing and open blow in another part of the attic and dense packing the slopes of the attic space. The walls of the home were also entirely lacking insulation, so we proposed to dense pack the walls of the home. The home owner also wanted the foundation walls insulated, which we did with 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam.
In order to dense pack the walls of the home, we had to first remove the shaker shingles carefully and drill our holes just slightly larger than our hose containing cellulose insulation to dense pack. Once the walls were filled and packed tightly with cellulose, we plugged the holes with cedar wood plugs and sealed them. The shaker shingles were then replaced as carefully as they were removed.
Our work left a much more comfortable home for the homeowner, which will also mean the fuel and energy bills will also decrease!
This homeowner in Binghamton, NY had work done to the walls and attic of the home, but work had not been done in the basement.
The foundation walls and rim joists were entirely void of any insulation. We spray foamed 2 inches of Closed Cell Spray foam into the rim joists, as well as on the foundation walls.

For this project, the crew began by removing the old fiberglass batts and plastic that had been holding up the fiberglass. We then sprayed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the garage ceiling.
