From unused attic to future living space—this project started with 4" of spray foam on the roof deck and 2" on the gable end walls to create a properly insulated environment.
This very leaky attic was costing the homeowner a lot of money when it comes to the energy bills. It's surprising to learn can lights are a top problem in uneven temperatures in most homes. The best way that we could help them out was to air seal and insulate their attic using spray foam insulation and SilverGlo.

This attic was poorly insulated with fiberglass. In the photos you can see how dirty it is. That is because it is not stopping the flow of air through it, it's just filtering the air before it goes outside. We removed all of the fiberglass and replaced it with open blown Tru-Soft Insulation. We also did air sealing measures prior to putting the Tru-Soft Insulation in because that will reduce the air flow into the attic drastically.
