This was a brand new construction project in Shavertown, PA. To this newly constructed building, we sprayed 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam to the roof deck of the building and 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam to the exterior walls. This will give this building a greatly insulated area for this store.
Laid stone foundations tend to be extremely leaky due to gaps left in between stones as they don't fit uniformly together. We came in and spray foamed the whole wall from top to bottom and at this residence, we also encapsulated everything by adding a layer of plastic that was sealed to the wall in order to create a seamless protectant throughout the entire area.
This customer needed attic insulation to prevent air escaping the home. 4 inches of closed cell spray foam were used, and since the spray foam was left exposed, our thermal paint (fire retardant) was sprayed on after.
This homeowner had an underinsulated crawl space beneath their home. This home had some existing vapor barrier down, but it wasn't sealed to the walls which allowed drafts of air to still get in. Our crew sealed the crawl space, and covered the barrier with 3 inches of closed cell spray foam to the walls and rim joist created an airtight seal that will prevent the drafty air to get into the home from the crawl space.
