This attic in Johnson City, NY is the standard attic in our area. Accessed by a pull down staircase with minimal insulation. Foam It Insulation found little existing cellulose insulation however it was not nearly enough and whoever installed it, did not air seal prior to insulating. Foam It began by air sealing all penetrations in the attic to minimize any unwanted air movement, followed by dense packing the attic slopes to ensure proper coverage. Finally, we added in additional TruSoft cellulose insulation bringing the total depth to 16 inches of cellulose insulation.
